MACH Energy Mount Pleasant Operation – COVID-19

MACH Energy Australia is following the Public Health Order and continues to work in line with all Government requirements and the Resource Sector COVID-19 National Health and Safety Protocols. Our first approach during this time is to the wellbeing of our employees, their families and the community of Muswellbrook.

Consideration for those who are at the greatest risk if COVID-19 is contracted, including:

  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples over the age of 50
  • Those aged 60 years and over

We have implemented numerous measures on site at our Mount Pleasant Operation and our Newcastle office, these include:

  • Employees to work from home where possible
  • Wear a fitted face mask when in an indoor area of a non-residential premises
  • Car-pooling to travel to and from work is not currently allowed unless it is with people from the same residence
  • Restriction of non-essential visitors to site
  • Continuation of COVID cleaning measures
  • Restrict outdoor gatherings to no more than two people
  • Maintain a 1.5m distance when outside
  • Maintain a 4 sqm distance when inside
  • Rearranging office work space where possible
  • Cancelling meetings and implementing video conferencing
  • Reducing the number of staff working on site and in the Newcastle office
  • Identification, discussions with and support for high risk employees to encourage working from home
  • Remind employees about the Employee Assistance Program providing online support
  • Ceased all international and domestic travel
  • Regularly wash hands using soap and water or alcohol-based hand sanitiser
  • Surfaces, including shared vehicles are cleaned prior and after use using alcohol-based sanitiser
  • Increasing the frequency and intensity of commercial cleaning processes at all locations
  • Observe all travel bans for non-essential travel
  • Contracting companies required to provide COVID-19 response plans prior to arriving on site
